Determining the sex a Kitten by Physical

1 Approach the cat or kitten carefully. To be able to determine the gender of a cat or kitten, you need to lift its body. Some cats don't like to be touched, so allow time for them to be comfortable near you.

Stand or bend over near the cat and let it approach you. If the cat comes close, let it sniff your hand.

If the cat looks tense, you may need to try again later or ask someone for help to take the next step.

2. Lift the cat's tail. Gently lift the cat and hug it with one hand. Use your free hands to lift the cat's tail so you can check its genitals.

If the cat does not fight when touched, it is easier to check it while sitting on a chair or sofa, so you don't have to worry about the cat falling.

If you are working with someone, ask him or her to hold the cat tightly in both hands while you lift the cat's tail.

If the cat refuses its tail to be lifted, try wiping the back of the meeting place with the tail. The cat will usually lift its tail when touched in this section.

3. Pay attention to the shape of the genitals of the male cat. A sure way to distinguish male and female cats is to check the physical shape at the bottom of the tail. Start by checking the male genital marks, which are sometimes easier to see.

Male cats have an anus, scrotum and penis, while female cats have only an anus and urinary tract.

In all-male cats, the scrotum is covered in fur and consists of two testicles, each of which varies in size from the size of a cherry seed to a cherry. The cat's scrotum protrudes out on the back of the cat and looks like a lump. If the cat's fur is long enough, its scrotum can be covered so that it is difficult to see, in this case, moisturizing the fur with water to flatten it can make the scrotum appear clearer.

The unfertilized male cat still has a scrotum, although it is usually smaller in size.

The cat's penis is located under the scrotum, under the skin, and out on the hairy mound between the cat's thighs. You can imagine the genital shape of a male cat like a double point.

The anus of the male cat and its urinary tracts is at least 2.5 cm or 1.3 cm away in kittens.

4. Pay attention to the shape of the genitals of the female cat. If the cat's genitals do not match the male genitals, try checking the shape of the female genitalia.

The female cat has an anus and urine/vulva ducts, with the vulva shaped like a vertical slice. You can imagine the female cat's genital shape as a semicolon.

The distance between the anus and vulva in female cats is shorter, usually about 1.3 cm.
